The Modular Speaker System for guitar is designed to give the ultimate flexibility in guitar cabinetry. You only need a 1x12 cab, just take it out of the system. Need the 4x12 thunder, bring the whole kit. One system, all bases covered. You get exactly the right cabinet at exactly the right time.
Want to do the ultimate wet/dry/wet stage setup for a monster sound, do a 2x12 dry center, left and right 1x12's wet. At the end of the night, stack the 1x12's back on the 2x12 and roll out the door. The Modular Cabs make it real easy get the sound previously reserved for rock royalty.
WARNING: Once you play w/d/w with satallite wet cabs it is impossible to go back to your previous rig.
You can verify this warning by trying this out with some extra speaker cabs. Here are the basics of the wet dry wet setup. There are two signal paths. Path one is dry. That is just your guitar, amp, and cab. Nothing else. The second signal is wet. This signal is a tap that can be taken at many different places. The easiest place to tap is the effects loop send after your preamp. That then goes to your stereo effects unit into a seperate stereo solid state amp and out to left and right speaker cabs.
The Modular Cabs are an easy way to do wet dry wet with what most people carry around cabinet wise anyway.
The basic building blocks of the modular system are the 1x12 and 2x12 cabinets. Any combination of these blocks will lock together with the supplied fasteners. The 2x12 with two 1x12's kit is shown, but four 1x12's will also make a kit.
